Youth Noise Post on African Illiteracy
African Illiteracy is a devastating problem in African that not only affects the present of Africa but will affect its oncoming future as well. Education is the key to success in any country to improve the way of life as well as jobs to ensure economic growth. There are many factors that contribute to the huge percentage of illiteracy. One would be the AIDS academic, which has killed many children's parents. The eldest child must drop from school to find a way to support the family and if they cannot more soon drop out. Another factor would be for girls when they hit puberty. They do not have the right necessities to keep them in class and they end up getting very far behind and soon drop out. Another problem would simply be not enough resources or well educated teachers. One group trying to fix that problem would be the African Library Project. This organization is raising money and having book donations to create libraries in english speaking countries.
